2.Comparison of accuracy measurement between infrared PM2.5 sensor and laser dust sensor

Laser dust sensor can detect more than 0.3um particles, with high-performance CPU, collect a large amount of data by fan or blower, and analyze by professional particle counting algorithm.

Because the particle signal of infrared LED light scattering is weak, it only responds to large particles larger than 1um, and only uses heating resistance to drive sampling airflow. The number of sampling is small. The data calculation is completely handed over to the upper computer. The infrared dust sensor can only detect particles larger than 1um, and the measurement accuracy is relatively inadequate.

3.Comparison of price and cost of infrared PM2.5 sensor and laser dust sensor

The market price of infrared PM2.5 sensor is about 30 yuan. From the cost point of view, laser dust sensor adds parts such as laser generator and fan, and the circuit is relatively complex, so the cost increases. However, with the application of laser dust sensor and the maturity of technology in recent two years, and the function that laser dust sensor can support numerical display, the price has no disadvantage compared with infrared PM2.5 sensor, but is the choice of high performance-price ratio.
