Sharp's GP2Y1010AU0F is an optical air quality sensor designed to sense dust particles in the air. The infrared led and phototransistor diagonal inside the GP2Y1010AU0F allows it to detect reflected light from dust in the air, especially for very fine particles, like cigarette smoke.Commonly used in air purification systems.The sensor has a very low current consumption (maximum 20mA, typical value 11mA) and can be used up to 7VDC.The dust sensor outputs an analog voltage whose value is proportional to the dust concentration.Can measure 0.8 micron above fine dust particles, sensing tobacco smoke and pollen, house dust and so on.Small size, light weight, easy to install, widely used in air purifier, air conditioning, ventilation fan and other products.

1. Connection between the cover and GND

The housing material uses conductive resin for the housing {printed model} and metal {test terminal side} for the bottom cover.The metal housing is connected to GND in the sensor.

6, sensitivity adjustment VR

7. Resolution

Do not remove the device, for example, remove tapping screws.Even if the device is reassembled, it may not meet the specifications.


8 Fire alarm application

Do not use this device for fire alarm applications.Please inform us before use when using this device other than air purifier and equipment with air purification function.


9. Noise impact

If the sensor is near a noise generator (e.g. vacuum cleaner, etc.), the sensor output may be affected by leaded noise.In addition to noise from the power cord, it can also affect the sensor output.Consider the influence of noise when designing the system.


10. Vibration influence

The sensor may change its value under mechanical oscillation.Before using the device, ensure that the device works properly in the application.


11, incident light influence

When external light enters through dust, the sensor output may be affected by the print surface holes.To avoid any exposure to external light, place the printed side of the sensor facing the application.


12, when the sensor internal moisture, the product can not maintain its normal function.Please design the application so that humidity of the sensor does not occur.
