Small particles in the air can cause serious health problems

Update: 2019-11-06 16:41 Source: LUFTMY Reading: ↻ News

We spend most of our time indoors, hoping the air is as clean as possible. But the air is usually filled with particles as small as the diameter of a human hair. Because they are so small, they can be inhaled deep into our lungs, potentially leading to long-term disease.

In other words, particles do not have to be large enough to cause serious health problems. These particles are classified as PM10 (10 microns or less) and PM2.5 (2.5 microns or less).

The following are several sources of indoor suspended particles:

Electrical appliances, burning candles and open flames from other sources

Pollen and mold

Use kerosene heater

Diffusion essential oil

Cleaning with common chemical products

Open doors and windows to outdoor polluted environment

Use spray gel, spray room freshener or deodorant.

High levels of particulates in the air can cause asthma attacks and inflammation of the eyes, nose and throat, shortness of breath, coughing, heart disease and other health-related problems. Prolonged exposure is particularly dangerous for young children, the elderly and individuals with impaired immune systems or respiratory diseases.

Because of the potential health problems caused by particulate matter, many governments are regulating the substances allowed in our air. The problem is that these particles were previously only detected with an electron microscope. Because most homes and businesses do not have an electron microscope, new particle sensors are increasingly playing this role.

Laser based sensors can detect and count particles with light scattering. The laser light source will illuminate the particles when they are pulled through the detection chamber. When a particle passes through a laser beam, light is reflected off the particle and recorded on a photodetector or photodetector. The light is then analyzed and converted into electrical signals for use by another system.

The electrical signal can be input into the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) control system of buildings and homes, or other air monitoring equipment to automatically clean the air. Or, when the outdoor air can be used to improve the indoor air quality, when the air filter needs to be replaced, or when the indoor air delivery system needs early maintenance, this signal can remind family members or building operators that the air purification system should be started.

Because sensors can be easily placed on your palm, they can be integrated into many household appliances as well as larger air purification systems.

We don't have to be at the mercy of air anymore. Now we can actively detect and clean air with minimum power and space requirements before air causes problems.

S7 Smart Dust Sensor
S7 Smart Dust Sensor

LUFTMY S7 smart dust sensor adopts the working method of infrared radiation. When the dust particles pass through the infrared radiation area, the receiving end receives the light signal change corresponding to the particles. Through the patent technology processing of particle signal acquisition, the particle data is compared with the material data in the database, and the accurate particle concentration data is obtained. It can be installed in the ventilation duct of vacuum cleaner, sweeping robot and other equipment, accurately measure the quantity and concentration data of mite, dust, hair fiber and other particles, and display the cleanliness data of dust on the ground, carpet, bed sheet, sofa, car and so on in real time.
